Our core saws are engineered to minimize public inconvenience, minimize damage to roads, sidewalks and underground infrastructure, and minimize excavation and repair costs. Built on portable, compact trailers, our core saws can be towed with a half-ton pickup truck for convenient jobsite access.
The Vermeer CS418B core saw is designed to cut 4-in to 18-in (10-cm to 46-cm) diameter holes in hard surfaces, like asphalt and concrete, to help utility contractors locate and excavate underground utilities. The core saw is built on a portable, compact trailer measuring 137-in (348-cm) long and 69-in (175-cm) wide for ease of jobsite access and can be towed with a half-ton pickup truck. Core sawing creates minimal disruption to traffic, reduces manual labor and preserves the road integrity when compared to saw cutting. Powered by a 25-hp (19-kW) Kohler EFI engine, the core saw has a two-speed operation that can generate up to 380 rpm for varying jobsite conditions. The CS418B features an onboard water tank to cool the saw bit and can be moved into position with the telescoping and pivoting arm.
